Yesterday it was pedicures and sushi
I felt like I was kidnapped by a sex and the city movie
It was an all u can eat sushi place
but there's only so much sushi you can stuff in your face
We were in San Matteo and walking around
We were in the really cool downtown
There's an eyeglass store with a yogurt shop inside
Lots of mom and pop owned businesses that look like they're getting by
But all you can eat sushi...really?  Maybe not the best of indulgences!
So before you patronize another box store
Make sure the mom and pop's you don't ignore!

The other day I talked to my cousin
on facebook with that chat feature button
the thing about my cousin that's a slight edge
is he speaks a different language
My cousin lives in Hamburg and he said he just saw
Scott Pilgrim in German so that made me drop my jaw
And he said he's a big fan of How I Met Your Mother
in German Barney still talks about how he's had a million lovers
we only watch it on DVD so we completely missed the last season
so I must admit I'm feeling fine
about this certain angle on modern times

So I want you to know that I'm against choke collars
For me harnesses are better on your dogs and dollars
Until today when Basil got out of his harness
And a German Shepherd he went to harass
I grabbed him and pulled him away in no time
but the other owner seemed to not be so fine
She walked away saying "oh my god, oh my god."
I have a boxer not a pitbull, lady. don't go throw a rod!
So now I have tightened the harness so he won't Harry Houdini me
Basil was admonished and I gave him a talk
I have to keep an eye on my two dogs like a hawk

Today's it's Chely Shoehart, Floyd the Floorman, and John Deer the Engineer as well as another installment of MIKE ON MOBILE!

So I'm having one of those days
where one click on my computer takes a million days
Yes I just rhymed one word with the previous
but this morning I'm not so mischievous
And I got wrapped up running a bunch of err-ands
so I missed the Pride Parade and their marching bands
next year I'll leave extra early and find a rainbow t-shirt for me---oh
the only rainbow t-shirt I have is from the band with Ronnie James Dio
Actually, no, I only have a Boston t-shirt and my wife confiscated that...
Oh, it looks like my computer's moving a little faster
I don't have to grab my hammer and destroy the little bastard

Yes this is the podcast that starts with me singing
Where else can you hear such dulcet tones ringing?
I know it's only such a short lieder
But some folks hate it some think it's neat-r
So here I'm singing about taking the BART
and heading out to see some cultural art
in the form of San Francisco's unique Pride weekend
there's a parade this morning I might get a peek in
A peek at the parade...yes, I know that's a weird choice of words
so thanks for putting up with my awful voice
if it was worth anything by now I'd have a rolls royce

So we set up and did our garage selling
and it was better than I was expecting
My wife sold a bunch of clothes
One dollar for this and that till it all goes
I had a bunch of junk that wasn't worth a dime
so I gave that away for free and that worked out fine
Then we closed up right at noon
so this podcast is a little late in getting to you
I couldn't give my ties away, that's sad
If the end comes if we don't raise the debt ceiling
people will still go to garage sales, I get the feeling.

Today we hear from Chely Shoehart, Floyd the Floorman, John Deer the Engineer, and we hear part 3 of my interview with phenomenal Australian singer/songwriter Paul Dempsey!

Today is finally Friday
but tomorrow's garage sale throw my junk out on the driveway
I'll be getting up real early, friends
so don't expect a podcast tomorrow till the night time descends
So I'm trying to figure out how to make money at this
At podcasting and acting like a crazy conversationalist
The main way is to know your audience well
So everybody look at your computer and introduce yourself
...I'm leaving space for you to do that
Maybe podcasting can earn an income
and maybe monkeys will fly out of my bum
